Learn to make your own beautiful fine silver pendant from ‘magical’ precious metal clay. Silver clay is made from 100% recycled silver which, when fired, becomes 99.9% pure fine silver. You will discover this fascinating process in a 3 hour beginners workshop where you will be taught the basics of metal clay jewellery from texturing, shaping, sanding, firing, burnishing and polishing.

A 7g pack of Art Clay Silver is included in the course fee and is enough to make at least 1 pendant. Chains and extra clay are available to purchase if required and a card machine will be available for
any payments on the day.

As spaces are limited, we do require advance bookings. Once payment has been made, you are guaranteed a place.

This is a beginners class so no experience is necessary.
Classes are small, a maximum of 6 adults, but please bring a face mask. This course is not suitable for under 16 years old.
Please wear covered shoes like trainers (no sandals please) and tie any long hair back.
You will also need to bring a drink and snack with you.

About the tutor

Katherine has been working with Art Clay Silver since 2013. She was a secondary school teacher for 15 years but learnt to use metal clay whilst taking time out to raise a family. Katherine then set up Silver Magpie, a keepsake business making silver fingerprint and hand/foot/paw print jewellery and has now made hundreds of pieces for clients. She is looking forward to teaching you some of these skills and introducing you to the magic that is metal clay.
